Who's behind The Science Marketer?

It's me, Joachim Eeckhout!

Over the past 10 years, I have dedicated myself to science communication through my extensive experience in the media industry.

My passion for the biotech field led me to establish Labiotech.eu in 2014, and since then, I have transformed it into one of the most important digital media publications in the biotech industry.

Throughout my journey, I have had the privilege of collaborating with and overseeing a team of talented individuals specializing in various creative domains such as writing, design, video and podcast production, and web development.

I take great pride in managing the creative process, fostering a sense of community, and implementing effective content strategies.

At Labiotech.eu, we have achieved remarkable milestones, including the following:

  • Attracting over 1 million unique visitors annually to our website.
  • Gathering more than 70,000 dedicated followers through our newsletters and on social media.
  • Establishing an advertising platform trusted by six of the top 10 CROs/CDMOs companies.
  • Building a fully remote team of passionate biotech professionals who share my commitment to providing valuable insights and information to our audience.
  • Completing various fundraisers and completed an exit in 2022, marking a significant milestone for Labiotech.eu.
